The Japanese Man in India

A rich Japanese businessman arrives in New Delhi on a business trip. At the airport, he hailed a cab.

The cab arrived quickly and they set off to the businessman’s hotel.

As they drove through the bustling city, a Honda motorcycle zipped through the traffic, overtaking the taxi.

The Japanese guy pointed to it and said to his cab driver:

“Look! Motorcycle very fast. Made in Japan!”

The cab driver nodded politely.

A short while later, a Toyota overtook the taxi and the Japanese guy said again:

“Look! Car very fast! Made in Japan.”

At the end of the journey, when they reached the hotel, the fare came to 1500 rupees.

The Japanese man thought this was unfair. In Tokyo, the ride would only have cost 500 rupees!

Agitated, he asked the driver why the ride was so expensive.

The driver said:

“Meter very fast. Made in India.”
