The Hunting Trip

jungle hunter taking notes

A biologist, a chemist, and a statistician went out on a hunting trip.

Each was armed with their respective areas of expertise and a keen sense of adventure.

As they trekked through the dense foliage, the sound of rustling leaves and snapping twigs betrayed the presence of a majestic deer.

The biologist, with his keen observational abilities, was the first to spot the graceful creature.

Raising his rifle, the biologist took careful aim, but the shot went astray, missing the mark by a good five feet to the left.

“Five feed to the left!” the biologist claimed.

The statistician, head down, wrote the result down in his notepad: “5 feet to the left.”

Undeterred, the chemist stepped forward, his analytical mind calculating the precise trajectory required to fell the deer.

With a steady hand, the chemist squeezed the trigger, but the bullet veered off course, sailing five feet to the right of the intended target.

The chemist called out to the statistician, “5 feet to the right.”

The statistician diligently jotted down the result of the second shot in his notepad, too, then stepped forward and let out a triumphant cry:

“Perfect team work! We got ’em right on the nose!”
