There was once a renowned genius. He carried an air of pride and confidence, secure in their mental superiority.
One day, he crossed paths with an idiot.
Feeling particularly boastful, the genius proposed a wager to the idiot. With a smug grin, he said:
“Listen here, you simpleton. For every question I ask you that you fail to answer correctly, you must hand over $5 to me. However, if you manage to pose a question that leaves me unable to provide the answer, I shall generously reward you with $5,000.”
The idiot, either unfazed by the genius’s condescending tone, agreed to the terms with a nonchalant “Okay.”
Wasting no time, the genius launched into their interrogation:
“Now, let’s begin. How many continents are there in the world?”
Caught off guard by the seemingly straightforward query, the idiot fumbled, unable to recall the correct answer.
With a sheepish expression, the simpleton reluctantly handed over the $5 demanded by the genius.
Undeterred, the idiot seized their turn, a mischievous glint in their eye.
“Alright, now it’s my turn to ask you a question,” they declared. “What animal stands with two legs but sleeps with three?”
The genius, caught off guard by the perplexing riddle, furrowed his brow in deep contemplation. He scoured the depths of his vast knowledge, searching for any clue or hint that might lead him to the answer.
Alas, after an exhaustive mental effort, the genius found himself utterly stumped, forced to admit defeat.
With a heavy sigh, the genius reached into their pocket and begrudgingly handed over the promised $5,000 to the idiot.
“Dang it, I lost,” they muttered, their pride taking a considerable blow.
However, curiosity got the better of them, and they couldn’t resist asking:
“By the way, what was the answer to your question?”
Without missing a beat, the idiot reached into their own pocket and handed the genius a crisp $5 bill.
