Keeping Cool in the Desert

exhausted travelers in the desert

Three weary travelers found themselves stuck in the desert.

Each had brought one item from home to keep them cool in the heat.

The first traveler carried a pail filled with water, believing water was a necessity in such a harsh climate.

The second traveler brandished a sturdy umbrella, believing shade would be superior to water for keeping him cool.

The first two then turned to the third, wondering what he might have brought to keep himself cool:

With a triumphant grin, the third man unveiled a car door, its metal surface gleaming in the harsh sunlight.

Perplexed by this puzzling sight, the other two travelers couldn’t contain their curiosity. They turned to the third man, their brows furrowed in confusion, and inquired:

“Why do you have a car door?”

The third man’s grin broadened, his eyes sparkling with a mischievous glint as he delivered his ingenious response:

“So we could roll the windows down when we get hot!”
